Cancellation Policy
SCHOOL TERM Each term (3 months) consists of 10 individual lessons and 1 group lesson. Group lessons cannot be rescheduled and will not be replaced if missed. No lessons on public holidays and school breaks (refer to school calendar) RESPONSIBILITY & PUNCTUALITY Students/parents are to be responsible for their own lessons, no reminders will be given to come. In the event that a student forgets to attend his/her lesson, the lesson will be forfeited. Lateness of 15 mins or more could void the lesson with no rescheduling or replacement given. TERM FEES AND VALIDITY Each term begins on the date of the first scheduled lesson and is valid for a period of 3 months. Any unused lessons remaining at the end of the 3 month term will be considered forfeited and non-refundable. FEES DUE DATE & PENALTY All fees must be paid one week prior to the following term. Books & instruments cannot leave the school premise without being paid for. Late lesson fees (after the 1st of the month) will incur a $50 penalty charge. LONG BREAK If Student will be away for more than a month with no intention of rescheduling lessons, his/her time slot may be released. If they wish to secure their time slot, they will have to pay the next term’s fees in advance before they are away. ABSENCE DUE TO SICKNESS & OTHER REASONS The Student shall provide at least 2 weeks notice for any planned absences not due to sickness, and not less than 6 hours' notice for sickness. If a student misses a lesson without providing sufficient notice, the lesson will be forfeited. Each student may reschedule lessons up to 4 times a year and subject to the availability of the Music Instructor. A mutually agreed date and time for the make up class will have to be found within the term of the missed class. Replacement lessons could be given in the form of one to one lessons, but not limited to group playing classes, duet class, holiday workshops. In case of any unforeseen clashes in schedule from either Teacher or Student, rescheduling will be arranged between Teacher & Student with a mutually agreed time. TERMINATION OF LESSONS One month’s advance written notice is required for termination of lessons, otherwise one month’s fees shall be paid in lieu of notice. SCHOOL PROPERTY DAMAGE & INJURIES Any school property that is damaged and witnessed within the premise of the school will have to be compensated.The School and Teachers will not be held responsible for any injuries occurring during lessons and outs
