Melody Teoh
Masters in Viola Performance & Suzuki Violin Pedagogy, Cleveland Institute of Music (USA)
Founder & Strings Principal
Started off with piano and violin at the age of 5, Melody completed the Associated Board of Royal School Music Grade 8 in distinction for both instruments when she was 12. She later joined the viola section of Singapore National Youth Orchestra at the age of 15 and became Principal Violist under the direction of Darrell Ang. During her time with the orchestra, they toured Aberdeen, Scotland & Berlin, Germany. She was also selected as a student artist in 2012 on a sponsored tour by LANXESS to perform in Germany with The Knights, a chamber orchestra from New York. Melody graduated as part of the inaugural batch of School of the Arts, Singapore, having studied with Dr Tan Wee Hsin, Lim Soon Lee & Lynnette Seah. Turning down scholarships from Yong Siew Toh Conservatory (NUS), University of Wellington, NZ and Eastman School of Music, she went on to study viola performance with Mark Jackobs, Jean Wall Bennett Chair in The Cleveland Orchestra, at the prestigious Cleveland Institute of Music. She completed her Bachelors of Music in 2017 and subsequently Masters of Music in 2018 at CIM, where she also took a Suzuki Violin Pedagogy under Kimberly Meier-Sims, a direct teacher-lineage to John Kendall, founder of the Suzuki method in USA, as well as Dr. Shinichi Suzuki.
Melody currently conducts the junior string ensemble at Nanyang Girls High School and maintains a busy performing schedule. She has coached string players at ACS (Independent), Raffles Institution, River Valley High School, ACS International, and Singapore National Youth Sinfonia. She has also performed with Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, Metropolitan Festival Orchestra, Asian Cultural Symphony Orchestra, Musicians Initiative, among other ensembles. Melody founded Meraki string quartet, available to hire for private events.

Evangeline Koh
Bachelor in Church Music (Piano Major), Singapore Bible College
Cello and Piano Instructor
Evangeline is a versatile and accomplished musician known for her talents as a cellist, vocalist, and teacher. She began her musical journey at a young age, mastering the piano, cello, and vocals. At just 13, she joined the prestigious Singapore National Youth Orchestra (SNYO), where she showcased her exceptional skills while touring Europe and representing her country in competitions. By 15, Evangeline transitioned into teaching, sharing her passion and knowledge of music with aspiring musicians and fostering their appreciation for the art.
In addition to her teaching, Evangeline is a sought-after performer for a diverse range of events, including weddings, corporate gatherings, and school functions. Her performances are known for their enchanting qualities, leaving a lasting impression on audiences. A strong advocate for collaboration, she has participated in various musical opportunities, such as chamber music ensembles and musical theater productions, which highlight her ability to blend seamlessly with fellow musicians. Her performances have taken her overseas to places like Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Europe, and the United States, where she connects with diverse audiences through her artistry.
Evangeline pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Church Music at Singapore Bible College, deepening her musical understanding and expanding her repertoire. She has also demonstrated leadership by conducting choirs in various churches, inspiring others with her passion for choral music. As a wife and mother of two, Evangeline balances her family life with her love for music, continuously seeking opportunities to teach and perform. She is dedicated to guiding young children on their own musical journeys, sharing the same joy and passion that have defined her own.

Gloria Parn,
Masters in Violin Performance & Theory, Cleveland Institute of Music (USA)
Violin & Theory Instructor
Gloria Parn is a passionate violinist and teacher who believes in life-long learning and sharing her love for music to the generations to come. She graduated with a Master of Music in Violin Performance and a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance and Music Theory at the Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM). At CIM, she studied with Ivan Zenaty, Stephen Rose and Philip Setzer, each of them molding her into the all-rounded musician she is today. In Singapore, she studied with Lynette Lim, Yin Ke, and Qian Zhou, and has had the opportunity to have masterclasses with Jonathan Ong, Ilya Konovalov and Siow Lee Chin, all of whom have been big inspirations and influences in her growth as a musician.
Gloria was the concertmistress of her school string ensembles, the Singapore National Youth Orchestra (SNYO) and the Music Elective Programme Orchestra between age 15-18. During her time in the US, Gloria performed with the Canton Symphony Orchestra and participated in festivals such as Music Fest Perugia, Texas Music Festival and the National Orchestral Institute. She also had the opportunity to experience the Baroque violin at the Baldwin Wallace Bach Festival and the Case Western Baroque Orchestra.
As an educator, Gloria has taught students of all levels and ages, conducted music appreciation classes at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts School of Young Talents, organized student concerts, and worked with community organizations like ARC Children’s Centre. She was also a violin instructor for the Singapore Chinese Girls' School (SCGS) String Ensemble. Presently, Gloria performs actively with local ensemble groups such as the re:Sound Collective, Wayfarer Sinfonietta, Red Dot Baroque, Meraki String Quartet and Vetta String Quartet. Her diverse teaching experience, which includes in-person, online, and interdisciplinary instruction reflects her passion for nurturing well-rounded musicians.

Linette Liam
Bachelor of Music (Honours) in Piano Performance, University of Western Australia
Piano and Theory Instructor
Linette is a dedicated and passionate music educator with over a decade of experience in teaching piano and music theory to students of all ages. Before joining Clementine, she ran her own private studio from March 2017, where she meticulously organized and prepared lessons tailored to her students’ needs. Recognized for her commitment to excellence, she prepares her students for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) practical and theory exams. Linette has successfully organized various student recitals, showcasing her students' talents at notable venues such as Voices at Singapore and the Asia Music School, exemplifying her ability to enrich her students' musical journeys. Her background also includes a significant tenure at Yamaha Music School from 2014 to February 2017, where she honed her teaching skills and continued her mission of fostering a love for music among her students.
Linette's academic foundation is as impressive as her professional journey. She holds a Bachelor of Music (Honors) and a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese from the University of Western Australia, where she specialized in piano performance and participated in a study abroad program at Kansai Gaidai University. Her enthusiasm for music education extends beyond teaching; she actively serves as a church keyboardist and has explored advanced techniques in piano performance through her studies at the Golandsky Institute and the Alexander Technique. With her diverse skill set and unwavering dedication, Linette continues to inspire and nurture the next generation of musicians.

Lydia Tan
Bachelor of Music (Honors), Royal College of Music x Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts
Piano Instructor
Lydia Tan started her musical journey at the young age of 4, enrolling into the School of Young Talents at 6. Under the tutelage of Lim Tshui Fang, she attained her grade 8 ABRSM distinction at the age of 10. She then graduated from the IBCP programme in 2020, specialising in Music Performance.
Over the years, Lydia participated in many competitions such as the Steinway & Sons Singapore and National Piano and Violin competitions. She was also a recipient of a scholarship for the Royal Scotland Conservatoire summer academy and prominent music conservatoires such as the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Throughout her musical journey, Lydia has also participated in masterclasses with notable pianists such as Aaron Shorr, Ralf Gothoni, Helen Krizos , Dmitry Shishkin and Fali Pavri and Foo Mei Yi.
Ms Tan has since been teaching both piano and music theory. As an accompanist, she is also commissioned in various ABRSM violin exams. She is able to teach fluently in English and Chinese, with students under her supervision preparing for ABRSM practical and theory examinations. Lydia graduated from RCM- NAFA with a Bachelor of Music with Honors.

Ke Xin
Bachelor in Piano Performance, New England Conservatory of Music (Boston)
Piano and Theory Instructor
Ke Xin recently graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music (Boston), with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance under the guidance of renowned pianist Randall Hodgkinson. She has also trained with distinguished mentors such as Stephen Drury and participated in masterclasses with international artists including Lilya Zilberstein, Adam Gyorgy, and Simon Mulligan.
An accomplished performer, Ke Xin has appeared in concerts and festivals across the U.S., Europe, and Singapore – from Jordan Hall in Boston to the Steinway Gallery Rising Stars Series in Singapore, and even alongside Lang Lang at the Sing50 Concert. Her performances span solo recitals, chamber music, and contemporary premieres.
Beyond the stage, Ke Xin is passionate about nurturing young musicians and believes in helping every student find both discipline and joy through music. With her blend of international experience and local roots, she brings fresh inspiration to Clementine’s community of learners.

Denise Tan
Masters in Cello Performance, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance
Cello Instructor
Denise Tan is a Singaporean cellist, who has completed a Masters of Music in Performance at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where she was awarded the Alan Niekirk and Loveday Scholarships, studying with Professors David Kenedy and Derek Aviss. She previously graduated from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor of Music (Honours) in Cello Performance, under the studio of Mr Leslie Tan.
Passionate about traditional music, Denise was a member of the Singapore National Youth Chinese Orchestra from 2016 to 2019, holding the position of principal cellist from 2018. During her time with the orchestra, she participated in international concert tours and festivals, such as the Macau International Youth Music Festival. In 2019, Denise was selected to study at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music as part of the SNYCO’s Immersion Programme, under the tutelage of Professor Li Jiwu. Subsequently, she received the Scholarship for International Students from the Conservatory, and was invited to perform as a guest musician with the Chinese Traditional Orchestra of SHCM, as part of the 36th Shanghai Spring International Music Festival.
Since 2018, Denise has been regularly engaged in Singapore’s local scene, playing both Western classical and Chinese traditional music. Ensembles she has worked with include the Musicians’ Initiative, Metropolitan Festival Orchestra, Asian Cultural Symphony Orchestra, Ding Yi Music Company and The Philharmonic Orchestra. Recent highlights include a number of solo recitals, leading Strauss’ Also Sprach Zarathustra and playing basso continuo in the opera production Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria.
Aside from the cello, Denise also holds licentiate diplomas in violin and piano performance. At present, she is based in Singapore where she freelances as a performer and teacher. She currently coaches MGS primary strings.

Chua Tung Khng (TK)
Masters in Cello Performance, Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance
Piano and Theory Instructor
TK is a passionate pianist and educator who believes music should be both expressive and mindful. With over a decade of teaching experience, TK works with students from age 4 all the way to adults in their 70s, tailoring lessons to each individual’s goals and learning style. He graduated with a Distinction and attained his Master of Music in Piano performance from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, UK. He was also a Future Leader Scholarship recipient while he was earning his BA (Hons) Music at the LASELLE College of the Arts in Singapore.
Throughout TK's career, he has had the privilege of performing at alumni concerts in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur for the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Additionally, he has also delivered engaging lecture-recitals and masterclasses at the Malaysian Institute of Art. His commitment to fostering musical talent is evident in his organization of student concerts and performance workshops, as well as accompanying students for exams and auditions.
TK believes that great music comes from mindful practice and emotional connection. His lessons nurture confident, expressive, and independent young musicians.

Leia Xiao
Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music
Violin and Viola Instructor
Leia Xiao is a current undergraduate at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music. She is a professional violinist and violist with a strong background in both performance and music education. From Taiwan to Singapore, she has taught students of all ages and levels, many of whom have achieved ABRSM Distinctions in violin and viola. Patient and adaptable, she tailors her teaching to inspire each child’s musical growth. She strongly believes that "there is no such thing as talent" and treats each and every student equally, wholeheartedly supporting their growth and progress. Leia also brings rich performing experience, from solo recitals to orchestra concerts at the Esplanade. She has worked with renowned international musicians such as Nobuko Imai, Kirsten Docter & Sangjin Kim.
